The course will cover the syllabus of the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management.
Covering Health, Safety a& Legislation, Rodent and Insect Control along with understanding feral birds and wildlife.
Successful completion of the course will ensure operators are knowledgeable to perform professional services, safely, efficiently and within guidelines.
Aimed at those looking to operate on a professional / full time basis, providing a service to paying customers*.
It is aimed at both experienced individuals who require the necessary paperwork and also new to industry individuals.
Key topics also covered:
· Principles of Pest Management and due diligence
· Biology; lifecycle; behaviour; control options;
· Reporting systems and due diligence paperwork;
· Sustainable eradication and prevention techniques;
· Importance of pest management in day-to-day business and society.
None – this can be your introduction in the pest management industry.
Advance learning materials will be made available following booking, which will allow new to industry to become more comfortable with some of the terms and processes used and for those from the industry – an opportunity to make sure that
any existing knowledge is in accordance with the syllabus!
The course is spread over 4 weeks, leading up the workshop event.
These mandatory sessions will provide guided prior learning and bespoke web-based classes, which must be completed before the workshop.
Week 1: Introduction the RSPH and course syllabus.
Health and Safety Induction.
Week 2: Rodents & Rodenticides / Wildlife awareness
Week 3: Exam preparation
Week 4: Insects and Insecticides
Week 5: 3-day course – March 4, 5, 6th 2024.
To include RSPH exam.
Web session times will be confirmed upon receipt of booking fee, but generally will run Mondays 16:00 for 1.5Hrs.
Course workshops will be completed at SP11 6BE.
Cost per candidate will be £ 575 for the course including venue, course materials and refreshments.
RSPH exam fee is £ 145.
Accommodation not included, but is available locally.
Individual unit refresher / exam only options available.
